The Experience

You’re probably wondering how on earth you’re supposed to prepare for something this intimate and life-changing.

Don’t worry — I’ve got you.

When it comes to hair and makeup, I work with an in-house artist who is included in your experience so you feel like an absolute goddess before we even begin shooting. If you’d prefer to do your own, or would like some tips from me on what photographs beautifully on camera, that is completely welcome too.

As part of your experience at Boudoir Blue Studios, you’ll also have access to my exclusive Client Closet. This curated collection includes a variety of beautiful pieces ranging from size S–4XL. Many clients fall in love with favorites like the pearl bra, stunning lingerie selections, and luxurious accessories designed to complete your look.

But the experience I offer goes far beyond outfits and photographs.

It’s about connection.

I want to connect with you — but even more importantly, I want you to connect (or reconnect) with yourself.

Whether you’re feeling on top of the world or walking through a difficult chapter, there is a place for you here.

Before your session begins, it’s completely normal to feel nervous, vulnerable, or unsure. Almost every woman does. But once we start, something shifts. The experience becomes freeing, empowering, and deeply personal.

I will guide you through every single step of the process.

I’ll pose you.

I’ll direct you.

I’ll cheer you on.

And somewhere along the way, you’ll start to see yourself a little differently.

Sometimes we laugh.

Sometimes we get emotional.

But every single time, women walk away feeling stronger, more confident, and more connected to themselves than when they arrived.

What to Bring

One of the most common questions I get is: “What should I bring?”

The good news is you don’t need to overthink it. My Client Closet has a wide selection of beautiful pieces available to use during your session — but there are a couple items I always recommend bringing with you.

A bra you absolutely love

Even though many women end up wearing pieces from the client closet, having one bra that makes you feel incredible is always a great idea.

Something structured, supportive, and flattering on your body works beautifully on camera.

A simple black thong

This is a staple in almost every boudoir session. A classic black thong photographs beautifully, pairs well with many of the pieces in the client closet, and creates clean, elegant lines in images.

Something that feels like you

This could be:

• an oversized sweater

• a partner’s button-up shirt

• a cozy knit

• a favorite robe

• a meaningful piece of jewelry

Sometimes the most powerful images come from the pieces that feel the most personal.

What not to stress about

You do not need to bring an entire suitcase of lingerie.

Most sessions only use 3–4 looks, and I’ll help you choose what photographs best once you arrive.

If you’re unsure about anything, feel free to bring it along — I’m always happy to help you decide what will work beautifully on camera.

What Happens on Your Shoot Day

When you arrive at the studio, we’ll start with hair and makeup so you can relax and settle into the space.

Most women arrive feeling a little nervous. That’s completely normal.

While you’re getting ready, we’ll go through the outfits you brought along with the pieces from the client closet and choose the looks we want to create together.

Once we start shooting, I will guide you through every single pose and movement. You don’t need to know what to do with your hands, how to arch, or how to pose — that’s my job.

You simply follow my direction and allow yourself to be present in the moment.

Before long, the nerves fade away and the experience becomes something many women describe as empowering, emotional, and surprisingly fun.

What If I’m Nervous About My Body?

If you’re feeling nervous about your body before a boudoir session, you’re not alone.

In fact, almost every woman who walks through my studio doors feels the exact same way.

You might be thinking:

“I’m not in the shape I want to be in.”

“What if I don’t look good in the photos?”

“I’ve never done anything like this before.”

All of those feelings are completely normal.

But here’s the truth.

Boudoir isn’t about having the “perfect” body.

It’s about seeing yourself through a different lens — one that celebrates your strength, your softness, and the story your body carries.

During your session, I guide every pose, every movement, and every angle so that you feel supported and confident the entire time.

You don’t need to know how to pose.

You don’t need to change your body.

You don’t need to be anything other than exactly who you are.

My job is to show you what the world already sees.

A beautiful, powerful woman who deserves to feel incredible in her own skin.

The Reveal Experience

Approximately two to three weeks after your session, you’ll return to the studio for your private reveal experience — or join me via Zoom if you’re traveling from out of town.

This is where everything comes together.

We’ll settle in, get comfortable, and watch a cinematic slideshow of the artwork we created during your session.

For many women, this moment is emotional. Seeing yourself through a different lens — powerful, sensual, and unapologetically you — can be incredibly moving. I’ll be right there beside you, helping you slow down and take in the beauty and artistry of each image.

After the slideshow, you’ll have time to explore your gallery and mark the images that speak most deeply to you.

From there, we’ll walk through the collection options available and design something meaningful with the photographs you love most.

There is never pressure during this process — the reveal is simply a moment to celebrate what we created together.

Your images are safely stored for three months following your reveal, and you’re welcome to bring a partner or close friend to share in this unforgettable experience.

Your Turn

Maybe you’ve been thinking about doing something like this for a while.

Maybe you’ve even imagined what it might feel like to see yourself through a completely different lens.

Nervous? That’s completely normal.

Curious? That’s usually how it begins.

If something inside you is saying “maybe this is for me,” I would love to connect and start planning your experience.

Every session is designed around you — your story, your comfort level, and the version of yourself you’re ready to celebrate.
